Hey Y’all. Welcome to our blog!
We are Barely Brainiacs! Our names are Akayla and Reniece, and we are here to put our knowledge and (limited) life experiences together to help you! You may be asking yourself…
“Why would I want two young black women with limited knowledge and life experiences to tell me anything?”
And our response to that question is “We don’t know but you’re here so let us take a crack at it!”
We are soon-to-be graduates of the University of Central Florida! *ahem* Charge On! And we are from the beautiful, wondrous, and lavish island of Jamaica.
But anyways, we created this blog to talk about anything and everything that pertains to being young, black, or a student. The main features of our blog will be an advice column, opinion pieces about current events, with a side of some “How To” Guides just to add some spice to your lives. In addition to the advice column, we will be taking prayer requests because it’s hard out here for a pimp and prayers never hurt anybody.
